The short answer: Free is suitable for testing MailerLite with a very small list. Comfort is the practical starting plan for most solo marketers and small teams. Power makes sense when unlimited sending, unlimited users, more complex automations, and live chat support justify the higher price. Enterprise is for lists above 200,000 subscribers that need managed support and custom sending volume.
MailerLite combines email campaigns, visual automations, forms, landing pages, websites, and digital-product tools. Its paid price changes with the number of active subscribers, so the advertised starting price is not necessarily the price your list will pay.
This guide uses MailerLite’s English-language public pricing and help documentation. We did not create a paid account, import a production list, send a live campaign, or test deliverability. Prices and limits were checked on August 12, 2026 and can change.
MailerLite Pricing at a Glance
MailerLite has four current plans: Free, Comfort, Power, and Enterprise. Comfort starts at $12 per month, while Power starts at $25 per month. MailerLite advertises a 10% saving when paying yearly. Enterprise uses custom pricing for businesses with more than 200,000 subscribers.

*MailerLite says the Free plan's three-automation limit is planned to be enforced from August 13, 2026. Paid prices vary with the active-subscriber tier; taxes may apply.
The starting paid prices apply to the smallest eligible subscriber tier. The amount increases as the active-subscriber tier grows. MailerLite also says taxes may apply, so use the official calculator with your real list size and billing currency before budgeting.
The Free Plan Changed in June 2026
MailerLite updated its Free plan on June 16, 2026. The current public limits are 250 active subscribers, 2,500 emails per month, and two account users.
The update also gives Free users access to tools such as the Custom HTML campaign editor, custom campaign and landing-page templates, blogs, and promotional pop-ups. At the same time, MailerLite reduced the subscriber and sending allowances from their previous levels.
MailerLite says the following Free-plan usage limits are planned to be enforced on August 13, 2026:
- Three visual automations
- Three forms
- One digital product
- One landing page
- One website
That date was still described as planned when we checked the official documentation on August 12, 2026. If you read this after August 13, confirm the limits in your account and on MailerLite’s current pricing page before making a decision.
How MailerLite Counts Subscribers
Billing is based on active subscribers. Unsubscribed and bounced contacts do not count as active.
However, MailerLite uses a cumulative count during each billing cycle. An address that was active at any point in the current cycle can continue counting until the next billing anniversary, even if you delete it before then. The count resets on the monthly billing anniversary associated with the first plan purchase.
This makes list hygiene useful, but deleting contacts immediately before a renewal does not necessarily reduce the current cycle’s tier. Review the active-subscriber count before upgrading and confirm when your billing counter resets.
How Monthly Email Limits Work
The plans do not use the same sending formula.
- Free: 2,500 emails per month.
- Comfort: 10 times the ceiling of the subscriber tier each month. MailerLite’s example says an up-to-1,000 tier receives 10,000 sends whether the account currently has 200 or 900 active subscribers.
- Power: Unlimited monthly email sending, subject to MailerLite’s fair-use policy.
- Enterprise: Custom sending volume defined in the plan.
One email delivered to one subscriber counts as one send. A campaign sent to 500 people therefore uses 500 sends. Automation emails count toward the allowance as well.
What the Free Plan Is Good For
Free is a useful evaluation plan when the list will remain below 250 active subscribers and 2,500 monthly sends. It includes core campaign creation, visual automations, a website, a landing page, signup forms, reports, A/B testing, and more than 100 integrations according to the current plan summary.
Free is suitable for:
- Testing the campaign editor and signup workflow
- Launching a newsletter to a small early audience
- Building one simple website and landing page
- Running a small number of basic automations
- Validating an integration before paying
It is not a durable fit for an established list. If the account exceeds 250 active subscribers, MailerLite says campaign and automation sending is locked until you upgrade or reduce the count below the limit. Exceeding the 2,500-email allowance also pauses sends until an upgrade or the next reset.
When to Choose Comfort
Comfort starts at $12 per month. It includes three user seats, 24/7 email support, and a monthly sending limit equal to 10 times the subscriber-tier ceiling.
The current plan summary lists these additions over Free:
- Unlimited newsletter templates
- Up to 50 visual automations
- Up to 10 websites and landing pages
- Up to five digital products and bookings
- Up to 10 signup forms and pop-ups
- Removal of the MailerLite logo
- A subscriber preference center
- Dynamic emails and smart sending
- AI writing and subject-line tools
Comfort is the practical starting paid plan for a solo newsletter operator, creator, consultant, or small business that sends a predictable number of campaigns and does not need unlimited users or automations.
When to Choose Power
Power starts at $25 per month. It provides unlimited monthly email sending under the fair-use policy, unlimited user seats, and 24/7 live chat and email support.
The pricing page also lists:
- Unlimited visual automations
- Unlimited landing pages and websites
- Unlimited forms and pop-ups
- Unlimited digital products and bookings
- Multiple automation triggers
- Custom user permissions
- Partner discounts
- A dedicated IP as an optional addition
Power is most relevant when several people manage the account, campaigns are frequent enough to exceed Comfort’s allowance, or revenue depends on more advanced automation. Do not upgrade only because the word “unlimited” sounds safer—compare your actual sending volume, number of users, and active workflows first.
When to Contact Enterprise Sales
Enterprise is intended for businesses with more than 200,000 subscribers. Pricing and sending volume are custom.
The public summary includes unlimited user seats, priority support, onboarding consultation and training, a dedicated success manager, account audits, deliverability support, and an optional dedicated IP.
Ask for a written proposal that identifies the subscriber tier, sending volume, onboarding work, support response expectations, dedicated-IP cost, renewal terms, and any migration assistance. Do not assume every enterprise service is included without an explicit quote.
What the 14-Day Trial Includes
New MailerLite accounts automatically receive a 14-day trial of paid features, and no payment method is required to start it. For accounts created after June 16, 2026, the trial allows up to 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails.
The trial exposes features from Comfort and Power, including templates, RSS campaigns, dynamic blocks, auto-resend, multiple automation triggers, preference-center tools, and smart sending. Not every paid capability is included.
The official trial guide lists these exclusions:
- Unlimited sending
- Unlimited users
- Custom domains
- Custom user permissions
- Removal of MailerLite branding
- Creation of reusable landing-page templates
- Dedicated IP addresses
If you do not upgrade, the account returns to the Free plan when the trial ends. Existing data is not deleted, but paid features become unavailable and workflows that depend on them can stop.
Test Domain Authentication and Approval Early
MailerLite reviews accounts and sending activity for compliance. Its setup guide emphasizes subscriber consent and permitted email content.
During the trial, a new account using a custom domain may be able to send an initial campaign while domain authentication is being completed. After the trial, the official guide says the sending domain must be authenticated to continue campaigns.
Before migrating a list:
- Confirm every imported address has valid consent.
- Authenticate the intended sending domain.
- Send internal tests to major mailbox providers.
- Build one representative campaign and automation.
- Verify unsubscribe, preference, and suppression behavior.
- Review reports after a controlled send to an engaged segment.
Our research did not include these hands-on checks. Deliverability depends on list quality, consent, authentication, message content, sending history, and recipient engagement—not only on the selected plan.
What Happens When the List Grows
For paid accounts, MailerLite says exceeding the current active-subscriber limit automatically moves the account to the next pricing tier and charges the card for that tier. An in-app notification is shown as the limit approaches.
This avoids stopping a paid campaign because the list gained a few contacts, but it can also create an unexpected bill. Monitor active subscribers before launches, imports, giveaways, and seasonal signup spikes.
Annual billing deserves extra attention. MailerLite says a change from annual to monthly takes effect after the annual term expires, while a switch from monthly to annual applies once checkout is complete. A downgrade starts after the current billing cycle ends.
Which MailerLite Plan Should You Choose?
Choose Free for a small proof of concept
Use Free when the list will stay below 250 active subscribers, 2,500 monthly emails are enough, and the new feature-use limits do not block the workflow.
Choose Comfort for a growing newsletter or small business
Comfort is the best starting point when you need paid templates and tools, brand removal, more forms and landing pages, up to 50 automations, and predictable sending from a small team.
Choose Power for frequent sending and collaborative operations
Power fits teams that need unlimited seats, multiple automation triggers, live chat, custom permissions, and sending volume beyond Comfort’s tier-based allowance.
Contact Enterprise for more than 200,000 subscribers
Enterprise is appropriate when the list size, deliverability requirements, onboarding, or support expectations require a negotiated plan.
Who MailerLite Is Best For
MailerLite is a strong candidate for creators and small businesses that want email campaigns, forms, landing pages, and visual automation in one relatively approachable service. Its starting paid prices are accessible, while higher tiers add team and workflow capacity.
It may be a poor fit when:
- A free account must support more than 250 active subscribers
- You need a large monthly sending allowance without paying
- Your workflow needs many automations but not the other Power features
- A specific integration or automation trigger is unavailable
- You require enterprise support below the Enterprise list threshold
- Your business needs a broader funnel, checkout, course, and affiliate platform in one product
For the last use case, compare MailerLite with systeme.io’s current plans. The products overlap in email and landing pages, but systeme.io is built around a broader sales-funnel and digital-product workflow.
Final Recommendation
Start with the 14-day trial and build one real campaign, form, and automation. Remain on Free only when 250 active subscribers and 2,500 monthly sends leave enough room for near-term growth.
Comfort is the sensible default for most solo marketers and small teams. Choose Power when sending frequency, account users, automation complexity, or live support creates a measurable constraint. Before annual billing, price the exact active-subscriber tier and document which paid-only features the workflow requires.

Pricing is based on contacts with active status. Unsubscribed and bounced contacts do not count as active, but anyone active during the current billing cycle can remain in the cumulative count until the next billing anniversary.

Paid accounts automatically move to the next subscriber tier and are charged accordingly. Free accounts lose campaign and automation sending until they upgrade or reduce the active count below 250.
